DESCRIPTION

The Tissue-Tek® AutoTEC® Automated Embedding System is capable of automatically embedding up to 120 specimens per hour. Four magazines of up to 32 cassettes each can be loaded at once, and additional cassettes can be added as the robotic system removes them from the loading station, allowing for continuous operation throughout the day. The magazines are compatible with most tissue processors, making cassette transfer simple and convenient.

The Tissue-Tek® AutoTEC® senses each cassette and automatically differentiates between biopsy, orientation, standard, and 13 x 13 size cassettes, eliminating the need for batching. Each cassette is then placed in the proper size base mold, paraffin is precisely dispensed and then cooling is activated to form a block. Finally, the cassette is then moved to one of the four output doors—which can be detached from the system and used as convenient holding trays during microtomy.

Throughout, the Tissue-Tek® AutoTEC® ensures the highest quality standards while minimizing waste and processing time in your lab.
