DESCRIPTION

Accu-Edge® grossing tools include specially designed grossing boards available in three sizes—standard board, large board, and grossing wells—to accommodate a wide range of tissue types. Featuring two adjustable wells that ensure grossing to an exact thickness, this board enables complete standardization of the grossing process. Integrated rulers on the standard and large boards enable gross measurement of specimens.

In addition, Accu-Edge® trimming knives and scalpel blades provide the sharp cuts necessary for exact grossing techniques. Tissue tampers allow a firm hold on specimens while making horizontal cuts.

The Accu-Edge® product line also includes three grossing forks designed to hold specimens including skin, arterial, or colon samples, and any specimens with layers, while maintaining perfect specimen form and integrity. Each fork is designed with two sets of sharp tines, separated by a space measuring 1.5, 2.0, or 2.5 mm.

A set of Accu-Edge® grossing tools comes standard with the Tissue-Tek® x Series Rapid Tissue Processor. When used together, these instruments ensure standardized tissue processing results for accurate diagnosis.

Grossing forks are ideal for specimens with layers.

Accu-Edge® forks keep specimens firmly intact during trimming. Simply use a scalpel blade to trim the specimen on either side of the fork before removing the tissue from between the fork tines.

Unique boards with adjustable wells for exact specimen thickness.

The Accu-Edge® Tissue Tamper facilitates trimming by holding specimens securely in grossing board wells.
